The City Manager is the only contracted employee in City Hall and answers to a five-member Board of Commissioners led by a Mayor. The City Manager is responsible for all of the administrative responsibilities of the City, acts as a policymaker with the Board of Commissioners, and implements any new policy and local legislation approved by the Board. He supervises the following departments: Finance, Community Services, Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Community Policing, and the Fire Department. He manages and coordinates all City projects while maintaining and presenting a budget by the approval of the Board of Commissioners.
