Madeira Beach, FL – The Madeira Beach Fire Department is inviting the community to take part in two unique fundraising events this October in support of the USA Patriots – America’s Amputee Softball Team and their annual Kids Camp for amputee children.
From yoga mats and puppies to bats and bases, these events bring together fun, fitness, and community spirit while raising funds for a life-changing cause.
Wet Noses & Yoga Poses – Puppy Yoga & Market

Location: ROC Park, 200 Rex Place, Madeira Beach, FL

This year’s Fire Department fundraiser takes a playful turn with Wet Noses & Yoga Poses, a special partnership with Madeira Beach Yoga and Suncoast Animal League. Guests can enjoy an outdoor yoga session surrounded by adoptable puppies, followed by a community market with local vendors and waterfront views.
“Each year, the MBFD hosts a unique fundraiser event to raise money in support of the USA Patriots and their summer kid camp for amputee children. This year, we partnered with our friends at Madeira Beach Yoga and Suncoast Animal League for Wet Noses and Yoga Poses, a puppy yoga and market,” said Trish Eaton, Executive Assistant to the Fire Chief.
She added, “It’s a great opportunity to meet your community’s first responders in a fun, non-emergency setting—especially for such an important cause as the USA Patriots Kids Camp. I’m most excited to see the laughter, the reaction to the puppies, and hopefully many of the adoptable puppies finding their forever homes.”
All proceeds will benefit the USA Patriots Kids Camp, which raises $180,000 annually to provide a week-long, all-expenses-paid camp for children ages 8–12 living with amputations or limb differences.
Hose & Bros vs. USA Patriots Softball Game
Date & Time: Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 6:00 PM
Location: ROC Park, 200 Rex Place, Madeira Beach, FL
Supported by: American Legion Post #273
The excitement continues as the Madeira Beach Firefighters’ “Hose & Bros” face off against the USA Patriots Softball Team in a competitive exhibition game. The Patriots, comprised of veteran and civilian amputees, travel nationwide playing able-bodied teams, inspiring communities with their courage and determination.
“It allows the community to see what this organization is doing in many local communities,” said Fire Chief Clink Belk, reflecting on the game’s impact. “There is already a strong bond, but I feel like this event allows us to play a game, be competitive, and win or lose the outcome is something we can all get behind.”
A Cause That Inspires
The USA Patriots Kids Camp, established in 2014, has become the organization’s largest program. Each summer, 20 children with amputations or limb differences are mentored by veteran athletes who teach adaptive techniques, life lessons, and resilience—building confidence and friendships that last a lifetime.
By attending Puppy Yoga or cheering on the softball game, residents and visitors alike can support this mission and witness firsthand the power of community, camaraderie, and service beyond the uniform.
