Jingle Bell Kids Fishing Tournament

Location: John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk

Join us for the Annual Jingle Bell Kids Fishing Tournament, a fun-filled afternoon of fishing, family, and holiday spirit — followed by the John’s Pass Village Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa’s Arrival at 6:00 PM!

Schedule of Events

• 12:00 PM: Tournament Check-In Begins

• 1:00–1:45 PM: Heat 1

• 2:00–2:45 PM: Heat 2

• 3:00–3:45 PM: Heat 3

• 4:15–5:45 PM: Awards & Raffle

• 6:00 PM: Santa Arrives!

🪣 Kids are welcome to fish in one, two, or all three heats!
🎣 Open to children ages 3–16
🌊 Fishing is from the seawall only — locations include Don’s Dock, Hubbard’s Marina, and Hubbard’s Beach area

Entry Fee

Free with a donation of:
🎁 One unwrapped toy
🥫 One non-perishable food item

Donations will benefit Santa’s Angels and The Kind Mouse.

Tournament Rules

• Fishing is from the dock or beach only – no boats or kayaks permitted.

• Sabiki rigs are not allowed.

• This is a catch-and-release tournament.

• Points are awarded for each species caught:

  • Pin Fish / Grunts – 1 point

  • Catfish – 2 points

  • Snapper – 5 points

  • Grouper – 6 points

  • Sheepshead – 6 points

  • All Other Species – 7 points

• Winners are determined by total points.

  • Trophies will be awarded for 1st through 3rd Place in each age group for each heat.

  • Participants may only win one trophy. If a child places in multiple heats, the next highest scorer will receive the additional award.

Additional Information

• Free frozen bait will be provided to all participants.

• Live bait may be purchased from Don’s Dock or Hubbard’s Marina.

• All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the tournament.

• Parents are encouraged to assist their children, but fish caught solely by an adult (without the child’s participation) will not count toward the child’s total.
