SAND BAGS:
Starting at 9am, Madeira Beach residents can pick up 10 bags per household at the Public Words Yard within the Marina. Staff will be onsite checking IDs, if you don’t have a Madeira Beach ID we need something that ties you to the address. Location- 503 150th Ave.
EMERGENCY ACCESS PASS:
City Hall will be open until NOON today to hand out passes. We need a Madeira Beach ID or something that ties you to the address. These passes are part of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and will be used to get back on the island post storm once they state it is safe.
EVACUATION/ ISLAND CLOSURE:
The City of Madeira Beach is under a MANDATORY EVACUATION, please heed the warnings and make final preparations today.
We do not currently know if/when the island will be closed. We do know the BRIDGE WILL REMAIN DOWN but will have a deputy checking ids/ Emergency Access Passes. As of right now you are able to come and go without the access pass. We will update once we know more information from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
SANITATION:
Crews are out doing a final pick up for garbage now and will suspend pickup Wednesday. Thursday crews will be out clearing the roads and will access when we can resume normal garbage pick up.
