Lillian Drive Curbing Project Continues Monday

Posted on July 10, 2020

Gibbs & Register (G&R) work crews will continue the process of installing new curbing on Lillian Drive during the week of July 13th. The curbing project will start at 575 Lillian Drive moving south to 553 Lillian Drive, then move to the west side starting at 552 Lillian Drive and moving north to 576 Lillian Drive.

The process of installing curbing has three phases; digging out the sides of the roadway and setting string lines, installing the curbing and allowing it to cure, and then cutting the curbing to allow access to residential driveways. During this process, residents in the construction zone will not have vehicular access to their driveway for approximately 3-4 days.

Affected residents will be allowed to park on Lillian Drive outside of the construction zone and will continue to have pedestrian access to their property. Residents with special needs (wheelchair, walker, cane, oxygen, etc.) can contact G&R at 727-202-6900 to schedule transportation assistance from their residence to their vehicle. This service is intended for individuals that will have difficulty traversing the construction zone. Residents should allow for a minimum of 30-minutes for assistance to arrive.

Gibbs & Register will have staff on call 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., while driveways are inaccessible, to provide door-to-door shuttle service as legitimately needed. Between 7 – 10 p.m., during the curbing project, residents can call the City of Madeira Beach at 727-385-7380 to request the shuttle service.

For more information, contact Curt Preisser, City of Madeira Beach Public Information Officer at 727-391-9951 x299 or cpreisser@madeirabeachfl.gov.
