The City of Madeira Beach is seeking volunteers to serve on the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission is an Advisory Board that provides feedback and recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on matters including, but not limited to, boundaries of the various original zoning districts, regulations to be enforced within the zones, proposed amendments to regulations, proposed new development, proposed re-development, proposals affecting the present and future movement of traffic, the segregation of residential and business districts and the convenience and safety of persons and property.
Members of an Advisory Board must be a qualified resident (registered voter) in Madeira Beach, and while experience with the subjects before a specific board is preferred, it is not required.
Applications are due by Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020, and can be obtained on the City’s website (www.madeirabeachfl.gov/advisory-boards/) or from the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 300 Municipal Drive, Madeira Beach.
