USCG Safe Boating Programs
A Florida Boating Safety ID card is required for anyone born after January 1, 1988 who operated a vessel powered by more than 10HP.
Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 78 offers two coursed to qualify for the Boating Safety ID Card. An eight-hour Boat America class the 1st Saturday of the month in Madeira Beach and a 12-week repeating cycle Basic Skills & Seamanship class every Tuesday at 7 P.M. in St. Pete Beach.
