June 17th Red Tide Update:
Pinellas County mobilized Tuesday along the Gulf Beaches in response to red tide. The City of Madeira Beach has coordinated access, as well as two collection locations, at John’s Pass Park and the 155th Beach Access point. County contractors have deployed numerous beach rakes, as well as 3 collection boats which are targeting various hot spots throughout the area. The City continues to rake the beach daily and is supplementing the efforts lead by Pinellas County.
