What is the difference between Stormwater and Storm Surge?
If you’ve been following along, you may know that stormwater is any water that falls from the sky and hits land.
Storm surge is a separate threat: storm surge is the abnormal rise in seawater level during a storm, and is measured above what the typical tide cycle would bring. Storm surge is heavily influenced by the winds produced by a storm. Depending on the storm, the surge can rise slowly over time or quickly with lots of damaging energy.
