About

On Dec 6, 2021, the Madeira Beach City Commission appointed Robin to serve as the Madeira Beach City Manager.  Since his first workday on Dec 20, 2021, Robin has been meeting all City staff, business owners, and numerous residents to ensure the City continues providing exceptional services to all who live, visit, work, and play in Madeira Beach.  Robin previously served as City Manager in Clarkston, GA and Fairmont, WV, with similar responsibilities overseeing daily operations including police, fire, public works, planning & economic development, water/sewer/stormwater utilities, parks & recreation, and various other internal services. Prior to those 2 work locations Robin spent 21 years at the City of Clearwater, FL, with the last 16 serving as the City Auditor ensuring the provision of city services in the most open, transparent, and accountable ways possible.

Robin earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Miami and a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Florida.  A native of Mexico, Robin migrated with his family to the US at the age of five when his physician father joined the US Air Force.  Subsequent moves landed Robin in Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts, Florida, Georgia, West Virginia, and now back to Florida where Robin began his college and work careers.

Upon the City Manager appointment, Robin exclaimed:

“Greetings Madeira Beach. I am extremely excited, honored, and humbled to serve as the next Madeira Beach city manager. I am very thankful to the Mayor and City Commission for the selection and greatly look forward to working with the Commission, city staff, residents, businesses, and visitors to ensure Madeira Beach continues to prosper as a premiere city and destination to live, learn, work, and play.

My daily focus will help ensure all city staff continue providing the most efficient and effective city services strongly focusing on safety, infrastructure maintenance, and economic development/ redevelopment. I look forward to meeting everyone and establishing positive relationships in my first few days, weeks, and months in Madeira Beach.”

Robin loves spending time with Julie, his wife of 22+ years, and two daughters, Shannon and Angelina. In his spare time, Robin also enjoys reading, traveling, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
